Put Creations on your home screen
Creations installs like an app, straight from this page. Your own icon, full-screen reading, faster every visit, and no app store in between.
You're reading this from the installed app. One thing left: article alerts.
How to install
On iPhone & iPad
- 1Open creationsmag.com in Safari and tap the Share buttonat the bottom of the screen.
- 2Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- 3Tap Add. Creations lands on your home screen, ready to open like any app.
Using Chrome on iPhone? Tap the Share button in the address bar, then Add to Home Screen: same two taps.
On Android
- 1Tap Install the app above. Chrome asks once, and that's the whole thing.
- 2No prompt? Open the browser's ⋮ menu and choose Add to home screen (or Install app).
Works in Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet and most Android browsers.
What the app gets you
Faster every visit
The app keeps the heavy pieces on your phone, so articles open in a beat instead of a wait.
Your own front door
One tap from the home screen, full-screen reading, no browser bars between you and the page.
Keeps up when your signal doesn't
Recently read pieces still open on the train, in the waiting room, or anywhere your connection dips.
New-article alerts
One gentle tap when the day's new pieces are published, straight to your phone. Turn them on right from this page once you've installed.
Good to know
Is the app free?
Completely. Everything in Creations is free to read, and the app is the same magazine with a faster front door. No account is needed to read.
How is this different from visiting the website?
It is the same Creations, installed. You get your own icon on the home screen, full-screen reading with no browser bars, faster loading on repeat visits, and recently read pieces that still open when your signal drops.
Do I need the App Store or Google Play?
No. The app installs straight from this page in about ten seconds, takes almost no storage, and updates itself. There is nothing to download from a store.
Will I get new-article alerts?
If you want them. After installing, open this page from the app and tap Turn on article alerts. When the day’s new pieces are published, your phone gets one gentle tap, never a barrage. On iPhone, alerts can only reach apps on your home screen, which is why installing comes first.
How do I remove it?
Exactly like any app: press and hold the icon, then choose remove or uninstall. Your phone treats it like any other app.
