Pause
A few unhurried minutes, whenever you need them. Breathe with a guide, sit in silence with a soft bell, or answer today's question in a few lines. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to keep up with.
I am whole, even on the days I feel scattered.
A question to sit with
Which relationship deserves more of your attention this week?
Kept in this browser only. Never sent anywhere.
Follow the circle
Breathe in as it grows, out as it settles. Choose a rhythm and a length, then press begin.
Ready when you are
Slow, even breathing at about five and a half breaths a minute. Unhurried and easy to follow, it is the best place to start, and the rhythm many breathwork teachers return to for a settled, steady feeling.
Four equal sides: breathe in for four, hold for four, breathe out for four, rest empty for four. The steady count gives a busy mind something simple to hold on to.
A long, lengthening exhale that invites the body to slow down. Breathe in quietly through the nose, hold, then let the breath go slowly through the mouth.
A full breath in through the nose, a second short sip on top of it, then one long, slow sigh out through the mouth. A minute of these is a quick way to let the shoulders drop.
A silent timer, and a bell
Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and let a soft bell mark the beginning and the end. No voice, no music. Just the time you set aside.
Length
Bells
Turn your sound on. Your screen stays awake while the timer runs.
Good to know
Do I need any experience?
None. Every practice here starts from wherever you are. If a count feels too long, breathe at your own pace and let the circle be a gentle suggestion rather than a rule.
What if I feel lightheaded?
Stop the practice and breathe normally. Slow breathing should feel easy. If holding the breath is uncomfortable, choose the even breath, which has no holds at all.
Where does my journal go?
Nowhere. What you write here stays in this browser on this device. It is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data clears it too.
Is this in the app?
Yes. Pause has its own tab in the Creations app for iPhone, iPad and Android, with a gentle tap on each breath, and it works without a signal.
