Spots on Long Island to Celebrate Oktoberfest π»
Now that we are in October, it is time to celebrate one of Germany's biggest events. Despite the real Oktoberfest being cancelled due to the global pandemic, we can still celebrate on Long Island with our own local spins with the help of the businesses and festivals below!
Bellport Brewing Company
Bellport Brewing Company is hosting their first Oktoberfest on October 16th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be beer from Bellport Brewing Company, Moriches Field Brewing Company, Westhampton Beach Brewing Company and Blue Point Brewing Company. Each brewery is going to have 2-3 of their seasonal beers available. In addition to beer there will be music all day, cigars, German style food, games, and there will be a Stein Holding Competition. This is open to all, children 16 years old and younger are able to attend for free but anyone between the ages of 16 and 20 will need to buy a designated driver ticket. Anyone over the age of 21 will need to buy a regular ticket, unless they are designated driver. You can purchase a ticket here.
Craft Brew Fest
To celebrate Oktoberfest Craft Brew Fest will be hosting a festival at Tanger Outlets Deer Park on October 16th from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. Guests who attend will celebrate Oktoberfest with unlimited beer samples from over 150 styles of craft beers. There will also be food, games, and live music. You can buy your tickets here. And you can make sure to purchase a designated driver ticket for a reduced price, so you can still have fun but stay safe on the roads. Also no one under 21 years old is allowed in so remember your IDs!

Garden Grill
The Garden Grill will be having a special Oktoberfest in order to celebrate. The menu is available until October 17th. This menu will be available for lunch or dinner and you can enjoy your food in their outdoor beer garden. You can enjoy traditional German food like Sauerbraten, Bratwurst Sandwich and more. So if you are in the mood for great traditional German food head over to Smithtown and visit the Garden Grill.
Garden of Eve
Garden of Even will be hosting an Oktoberfest festival on October 16th and October 17th from 9 a.m to 9 p.m on both days. They will have beer that is locally brewed and a special Oktoberfest menu that includes Kielbasa and Kraut. The festival is free to enter but to enter the Fun Field you will need to purchase a ticket that you can get here. Included with this ticket you can get hayrides, Giant Hay Pyramid, Pedal Kart Track, Bounce House, farm animals and more.
Oak Chalet Restaurant
When in Bellmore visit the Oak chalet Restaurant for some traditional German food. They have their regular menu in addition to all their German specialties from Wienerschnitzel to Jagerschnitzel. You can stuff your fast with great food. And while eating you can listen to live music from traditional Oktoberfest music instruments. On every Wednesday and Thursday, until October 28th, from 6 p.m to 9 p.m come listen to Accordionist Frank Rapuano.
